Teach and Learn Korean Program (TALK)Forum

I mainly created this for prospective and accepted individuals who are doing the Teach and Learn Korean Program. I thought this could be very helpful for individuals who want to meet others who are going to participate

PostSubject: Welcome to the TaLK forum!!!   Tue May 24, 2011 11:55 am

Hi,
I just got accepted to the TALK program, but when I was searching around for forums of this program, I didn't find any. So I decided to create a forum to others who have been accepted and are going. This way we can get to know one another, and maybe give each other helpful advice before we go. This forum is ONLY for individuals who are interested in this program, or have already participated and wanted to give their input, or are seeking helpful advice.I do not want individuals on this site who will talk negatively about the program, or just want to advertise things that are not relevant. I am new and don't have much experience when it comes to forums, but I hope this site helps other individuals who are looking for others who are going as well.
Also, if you are an alumni to the program, you are more than welcome to write about your experiences and anything that you wish you brought, what you suggest to bring, etc.. Smile

I Chose this program because I wasn't sure if I could be away from California for a full year.lol

I also liked how they had a month long orientation so you can get acclimated with the country. They also provide a buddy system for you as well. I personally think that is a great idea because when I studied in Japan, we had the buddy system. They took us to places and showed us things that you could never learn w/o them.

Hope this helps Very Happy
